London to Newcastle 24
Mon 30th Apr '12

Just 24 hours to cycle from London to Newcastle. Will Rob make it?

I always like to have a physical challenge on the go and whilst I have done a bit of rowing and running in the past, I always return to my favorite game – cycling.

This time, I have decided to bike from London to Newcastle in 24 hours or less – all in one go of course. Even better, I have managed to rope in 6 friends including my Dad who will be 58 when the ride takes place!

The ride starts at the Millennium Bridge, London on Sunday June 24th and finishes at the Millennium Bridge, Newcastle on Monday June 25th – a total distance of nearly 300 miles.

I am raising money for Road Peace in memory of two talented cyclists who were both killed on a cycle training ride in Cumbria in December 2010.

Check out the challenge website at www.london2newcastle.com to find out more. Any help to reach my target of £10,000 sponsorship would be much appreciated by us and Road Peace. You can sponsor us here.
