How It Started

The company was started by Maude and Hodge Slogan because they were absolutely passionate about loans, and believed everyone deserved access to them. It all started when they couldn't afford a boat, and Maude thought it would be wonderful if all the loan advice was in one place. With the popularity of short term loans rising, they launched their informative website to help South Africans and their search for the best loans on the market.

Scratch Bikes is basically about information, rather than actual loans. We provide information on all the different types of loans you can get, including payday loans, and that' our area of expertise. Sometimes we get requests to hand out loans, but our business focus has always been information, rather than actual money. Maude really wanted to focus on that aspect.
